Also known as HAADAEN or MIRIYAM
1 freshly grated coconut
5 Kashmiri chilies
3 cloves of garlic
½ teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoon coriander seeds
½ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
Small bowl of tamarind (cleaned without seeds)
2 cups of water (or as required)
- Grind all the above listed ingredients with required quantity of water to get the consistency of a chutney.
- Horvem is ready to be served raw with Rice and Goan choris or roasted dry fish as side dish.
