This is one tradition that is slowly fading off, as buffet are more preferred this days.

I remember all the village girls would form a human chain and serve this to the guests on the wedding day / second day at girls house etc… Most of us would grab two plates as one was never enough.

And if your girlfriend was from that village she would come running n push the last girl out so she gets the opportunity to serve her boyfriend. …..

I hope this refreshes some profound memories to all readers….

Different villages served it in their own style.. These are a few I remember. …

    Alves can you plz share the recipe. I dnt know how they cool the rice but tried tried and i can never get that distint Goa arroz taste…. its so frustrating. Plz plz help
