Tendli Bhaji with coconut

Tendli Bhaji


500gms Tendli cut in round shape

2 large onion chopped

1 tomato chopped

2 green chilies Chopped

¼ tsp turmeric powder

2 pinch chili  powder

5 tablespoon grated coconut fresh

80 ml water

(Some even use cumin seeds, curry leaves and mustard seeds)



1. Add oil to a kadai and sauté onion till they are translucent now add tomatoes and chilies.

2. Put the turmeric powder and chili powder, add little water and cook for 1 to 2 min.

3. Add the tendli and water. Cook for 5 minutes on med heat.

4. Add the grated coconut and further cook for 10 to 12 minutes (stirring occasionally) or till the tendli is cooked.


5. Add salt to taste.
