40 gm dry prawns cleaned (remove head and tail)
½ freshly grated coconut
½ tsp chili powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
3 tsp coconut oil
1 small onion finely chopped
2 green chilies finely chopped
Half a lime juice (you can also use tamarind water or vinegar)
1. In a frying pan add 2 tsp coconut oil, roast the dry prawn till the colour turns dark brown. Set them aside.
2. Take a mixing bowl add the Coconut, chili powder, turmeric powder, lime juice and green chilies – mix them well, I prefer using my hand to mix (it tastes better).
3. Keep the chopped onion and dry prawns to mix for later, just before serving.
You can sauté the onion and use if you don’t like to eat it raw. For a twist add one finely chopped garlic in it while cooking.
Add salt to taste
